cervical cancer is ranked as the second most frequent cancer in women in India. Approximately, 132,000 new cases are diagnosed and approx 70,000 die annually. India accounts for nearly 1/3rd of the global cervical cancer deaths. The most common cause of cervical cancer is the HPV-human papillomavirus.
